Case Study – AM Models

AM Model Agency are the premier model agency in the north east of England and the company approached Atomic Web Solutions around three years ago.  The issue faced by AM Models was that, like many businesses, they had a very dated site that was difficult to update and received very few (around 200) visitors per month on average.  Their main competitors had relatively new content manageable database driven web sites.  The old web site was beginning to damage the profile of the business in a very image focussed industry.

The brief given to us was:

  • Clean professional design to rival London Agencies
  • Database driven model directory with multiple image upload resize and formatting, text entry facilities, detailed search facilities for users etc
  • Excellent search engine rankings
  • Oh and they required the new site to be completed in five weeks

We achieved:

  • Excellence in design and functionality – this site was runner-up in the North East Business Awards in 2003
  • Fully database driven model directory that allows AM to create or manage model portfolios in real time and allows potential clients to search for the model to suit their requirements and print a ‘model card’ containing information and photos of the model
  • New site was launched exactly four and a half weeks after the initial design meeting
  • After 6 months the number of visitors to the site had risen from
    200 per month to over 6,000 – present visitor levels average 20,000
    per month and rising
